Stitching California will open in its final exhibition venue on September 13 at Carnegie Arts Center’s Ferrari Gallery in Turlock, CA. A gala opening and artists’ reception will take place on September 30th.

The gallery isn’t quite finished so there are temporary labels still up on some pieces. This is a big space so sewing machines on pedestals help fill it a bit. Over 1300 schoolchildren are scheduled for field trips here during the show- the machines should be of interest to them. The docents have been trained and are ready. The gallery talks take place Sept 15 at 6:00 pm; the artist reception is Sept 30. More information about the exhibit at carnegieartsturlock.org/current.
