The Northern California / Northern Nevada region of Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA) is part of an international organization dedicated to advancing the art quilt.
Our region brings together artists and art-quilt appreciators working in fabric, fiber, and mixed media through exhibitions, educational opportunities, and local gatherings across Northern California and Northern Nevada.
SAQA’s definition of the art quilt is intentionally broad:
a creative visual work that is layered and stitched, or that references this form of stitched, layered structure
